Tom Coughlin Jay Fund hosts Holiday Party for Pediatric Oncology Patients and their families

On Saturday, December 1st, the Jay Fund hosted it’s annual Holiday Party for pediatric oncology patients being treated at Nemours Children’s Clinic.  Held at the WJCT Studio in Jacksonville, the party was a hit with a theme of Pirates and Princesses!  Live pirates came to entertain the children with magic shows, balloon animals and tales of woe on the big sea!  Pony rides, music by DJ Vito, crafts, games, lunch catered by Chick-fil-A at Atlantic and Hodges, plus a special visit by Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus thrilled the children all afternoon.  A Santa Workshop was set up for families to be able to secure that one special gift for their child.  Special experiences like a holiday party delight the children and allow them to not have to think about cancer treatments, if only for a few hours.  It also takes the burden off parents, so they don’t have choose between purchasing medication for their child or buying a special holiday gift.  We are so proud to be able to host this part each year, and thank our donors for their participation!
