Making Every Day a Little Easier

Practical Support That Improves the Patient and Family Experience

Cancer treatment is never easy, but the Jay Fund works to make time spent in hospitals and clinics more positive, and the overall cancer journey more manageable. By focusing on the patient experience, we bring relief, comfort and hope to families when they need it most.

How We Help

  • Child Psychology Services*
Access to psychological care for pediatric oncology patients who need it, regardless of insurance coverage.
  • Art Programming*
Personalized fine art experiences that enhance the healing process and give patients a creative outlet during treatment.
  • Summer Camp*
The chance for patients and siblings to attend a medically sound summer camp retreat—free of charge—where kids can have fun, build friendships, and feel like kids again.
  • Treatment Facility Enhancements
We improve the family experience at treatment facilities by:
    • Stocking hospital food pantries
    • Creating gathering spaces for families
    • Providing electronics, video games, toys and books to engage patients and bring joy during long days in treatment
  • Family Psychosocial Referral Program*
Professional referrals to mental health providers who specialize in the unique challenges of pediatric cancer, ensuring families have access to the care they need.
