It’s a reminder that we really can change the world! From our perspective here at the Jay Fund, it’s a feeling we get all the time. Every day, we see how the gifts you so generously provide make a dramatic difference in the lives of families tackling childhood cancer. We get bombarded with great deals, special offers and “once-in-a-lifetime holiday shopping extravaganzas” every year. Sometimes it becomes tough to keep our priorities straight. #GivingTuesday is the perfect time to celebrate how we can do so much more with our wallets than just shop. It demonstrates that we can give as good as we get. #GivingTuesday also brilliantly illustrates that, at our heart, we get the most when we give. At the Jay Fund, we feel so many good feelings when we are able to pay a family’s mortgage, take care of their grocery bill, keep their lights on, or in some cases, help them cover the cost of life-saving procedures. Just ask any member of our staff – ours are the most fulfilling jobs in the world!
