JACKSONVILLE, FL March 22nd, 2014 – The 10TH Annual Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Wine Tasting Gala took place on Friday night, March 21st, at the Wells Fargo Center, in downtown Jacksonville. Cuisine from the area’s top restaurants and world-class wines were served in a walkabout format. All proceeds support the Jay Fund’s mission to help families tackle childhood cancer by providing financial, emotional and practical support. Friday’s event reached a fundraising milestone for the Jay Fund, raising $1.5 million over ten years for local families.
This food and wine foray was hosted by two time Super Bowl winning Coach Tom Coughlin, the founder of the Jay Fund. While socializing, eating and drinking, guests also enjoyed bidding on auction items including sports memorabilia, rare wine and exciting trips.
“When a child is diagnosed with cancer, there is nothing else as important to the family as caring for the child. The Jay Fund steps in with real and tangible help to lift some of their burdens”, said Coughlin.
Southern Wine & Spirits of North Florida presented the event for the Jay Fund, putting together a fantastic selection of over 200 wines from all over the world. The Grand Cru sponsors, who made the event possible, were: ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, Acosta Sales & Marketing, Southern Oak Insurance Company, Wells Fargo and the Wounded Warrior Project.
