NEW YORK — As his former players and coaches streamed by, stopping to take photos with him one by one, it became more obvious by the minute: Tom Coughlin is a coach without a team.

The former Giants coach was reunited with many familiar faces for the first time in a while Friday night at the Jay Fund’s annual Champions for Children Gala.
