Champions for Children Gala Friday, October 28, 2011
The 7th annual Champions for Children gala was held on Friday, October 28th! A crowd of over 500 guests attended our event, and we raised $900,000! We had a ton of wonderful auction prizes, both silent and live, two dynamic and terrific honorees in Steve Sabol and Tim Shinn, and a fabulous family who got up to speak at the event – a family who can attest first-hand as to what the Jay Fund has done to help when they were in the midst of crisis after their infant son was diagnosed with Leukemia. We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the event such a resounding success. Our guests were incredibly generous with their funds, time and resources – we are thankful to each and every one of you. Each year, we see families’ needs rise. And, each year, our revenue, thankfully, continues to rise, too. At a time of Thanksgiving, we are very thankful for each and every one of the donations that come our way.
