The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation awards an annual college scholarship as an inspiration to cancer patients and survivors in order that they may achieve their full potential in life.

To be eligible to apply, all applicants must have had a cancer diagnosis prior to the age of 21. In addition to a cancer diagnosis, all applicants must be enrolled, or be planning to enroll, full time in an accredited college or university.

Scholarship applicants can only reside within our coverage areas:

Applicants in New York / New Jersey must be a permanent resident of the five boroughs of New York City or the following New Jersey counties: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Passaic, Union.

Applicants in North Florida must be a permanent resident of one of the following counties: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, or Union. South Georgia applicants must be a permanent resident of Camden, Charlton, Clinch, Glynn or Ware county.

Academic achievement, leadership ability, community involvement, good citizenship and financial need are some of the attributes considered in selecting the winner. Scholarship winners will receive $2,000 per year for up to four years.

The Scholarship Application deadline is April 6, 2018; North Florida / South Georgia winners will be notified in May, New York / New Jersey winners will be notified in June.
