About the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund

The mission of the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund is to help families tackle childhood cancer by providing comprehensive financial, emotional and practical support.  From diagnosis to recovery and beyond, we are part of the team, allowing parent to focus on their child’s well-being.  Our goal is to BE THERE for parents facing the unthinkable so they can BE THERE for their families.

Tom Coughlin, former head coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars and current head coach for the New York Giants, launched the Jay Fund in 1996 in honor of former Boston College safety Jay McGillis, who battled leukemia. The Jay Fund has grown in size and scope providing $5 million in grants to thousands of families on the First Coast and in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area facing pediatric cancer.
