Both Giants head coach Tom Coughlin and linebacker Mark Herzlich remained busy enough during the past two months that they haven’t spent much time discussing the bond that connects the two more than 40 years apart.
Herzlich’s a cancer survivor, battling Ewing’s sarcoma in 2009 while a standout linebacker at Boston College. Nearly 20 years earlier, Coughlin watched what cancer could do to someone’s life while he coached BC.
