Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation Announces Annual Celebrity Golf Classic

The 17th Annual Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic in partnership with THE PLAYERS will take place on May 20th and 21st, 2012.  One of the First Coast’s premier events, the Celebrity Golf Classic offers the participants an opportunity to enjoy the two day affair in the company of Tom Coughlin and his celebrity friends from all over the sports world and beyond.

“We plan to create a team that will aid children who need it most” describes Coach Coughlin.  “Since its inception the Jay Fund has provided $4 million dollars in support.  For many families coping with the impact of a child’s cancer battle, the difference between financial and emotional collapse and stability is the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund.”

Hosted by Coach Coughlin at renowned TPC Sawgrass, philanthropic minded corporate and prominent citizens will come together to enjoy a fabulous dinner and auction on Sunday evening, May 20th, followed by a golf tournament on Monday morning May 21st. Each foursome in the tournament is paired with one of the scores of celebrities.  Eli Manning, Justin Tuck, Chris Snee and a dozen other members of the World Champion New York Giants will gather with Coaches Mike Mularkey, Mike Smith, Steve Spurrier and Randy Edsall, Media personalities Chris Mortensen and Tom Jackson, many other NFL players and even General Ray Odierno, Chief of Staff of the US Army.

The affair is presented by Acosta Sales & Marketing, Southern Wine & Spirits and Wolfson Children’s Hospital.

The Celebrity Golf Classic is an essential source of revenue for the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund’s grants.  The generosity of participants will have an immediate, positive and powerful effect by helping children in Jacksonville with cancer.

Although the Celebrity Golf Classic is not open to the public, the media will have the opportunity to conduct interviews and take photos and videos.  Contact the Jay Fund to make arrangements.
