Florida Times-Union says Coughlin’s Jay Fund is Stronger than Ever

This year’s golf tournament, which features 32 celebrities playing the Stadium Course with mostly corporate-sponsored foursomes, raised over $500,000 for the first time. Among the celebrities taking part in this year’s event were New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith, Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, ESPN analyst Chris Berman and several former Jacksonville Jaguars players, including Mark Brunell and Keenan McCardell.

Coughlin’s daughter, Keli Coughlin Joyce, executive director of the Jay Fund charity that offers financial, emotional and practical support to cancer victims and their families, is overwhelmed by the way the public has embraced the charity.

“I don’t think my Dad had a vision for how much it’d grow when this all started,” said Keli. “It’s gone much further than he ever imagined.”
